Numbers fell this sale, with quality presenting well overall despite less weight being yarded compared with previous weeks. There were still some strong lines of well finished trade and export lambs available, though restocker numbers were noticeably reduced. All the usual buyers were in attendance and active, operating in a dearer market that continues to strengthen as tightening supply supports prices.

Numbers lifted this sale, with agents yarding a total of 42,300. Quality remained mixed, with a larger offering of plainer lambs. Good runs of grain assisted lambs were available, and both processors and restockers competed actively on the trade weight portion. All usual buyers were present and operating, though the market was generally cheaper.

Numbers jumped this sale with agents yarding 47,000 head. Lambs lifted to 36,150 and quality was similar to that of previous sales. There was a handy offering of finished trade and export lambs available along with the plainer types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a market that showed a cheaper trend.

Lamb numbers lifted and the quality was again good with plenty of well finished trade and heavy weights but a few less extra heavy lambs. In the additional numbers there were a few more secondary lambs offered. All of the usual buyers were operating and the market sold to a stronger trend.

There was a reduction in lamb numbers but the quality was very good with lines of grain assisted trade and heavy weights. Extra heavy lambs were back in numbers and there were several pens of extra heavy Merino lambs. Store lambs were in limited numbers and despite not all of the usual buyers operating, the market lifted around $6 to $8/head across most of the lambs.

A number of very good lines of well finished trade and export lambs were offered alongside a large run of secondary types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a market that fluctuated on quality, but overall averaged close to firm on the previous sale.
