CWLE Sheep Sale 2.12.2025

Numbers were steady this sale, with agents yarding 35,650 head. Lamb numbers eased to 21,750, and overall quality remained similar to the previous week. Well-finished lambs were limited, with a large proportion of drier types on offer. The usual buyers were present, operating in a firm to slightly improved market depending on quality.

CWLE Sheep Sale 25.11.2025

Numbers increased this sale, with agents yarding 36,000 head. Lambs rose to 26,000, including 7,700 new-season offerings. Ongoing dry conditions are starting to show, with a higher proportion of plainer, drier lambs penned alongside a limited selection of well-finished types. The usual buyers were present, operating in a softer market.

CWLE Sheep Sale 18.11.2025

A smaller yarding due to producers in the thick of harvest, with varied quality across the offering. A large number of summer clean-out lots came forward, although standout trade and heavy lambs were in the mix and all sold to stronger demand. Shorn lambs attracted premium prices from processors, and the sale drew a full field of buyers.

Numbers fell this sale with agents yarding 29,900 head. There was 20,350 lambs penned and quality continues to be very mixed. There was a limited selection of better finished trade and heavyweight lambs along with a large percentage of plainer lambs penned. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market depending on quality.

CWLE Sheep Sale 4.11.2025

Numbers lifted slightly this sale with agents yarding 34,600 head. There were 24,000 lambs penned and quality was very mixed. Well finished lambs were limited with a large percentage of secondary lambs penned. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market.

CWLE Sheep Sale 28.10.2025

Numbers fell this sale with agents yarding 31,850 head. There was 21,750 lambs penned and quality continues to be very mixed with a large percentage of secondary lambs penned along with the better finished types. The usual buyers were present and competing alongside restockers in a firm to dearer market.

CWLE Sheep Sale 21.10.2025

Numbers eased this sale with agents yarding 39,400 head. Lamb numbers showed the biggest change with just 24,500 penned. Quality was also reduced with a larger percentage of plainer secondary lambs on offer. There was only a limited offering of heavy and extra heavyweight lambs penned. The usual buyers were present and competing along with restockers in a market that fluctuated with quality.

Numbers dropped sharply this sale, with agents yarding 41,550 head. Lamb numbers were down, and quality was reduced with a large percentage of secondary lambs penned. Not all the usual buyers present and competing in a reduced market.

Numbers remained similar this sale with agents yarding 52,600 head. There were 35,600 lambs penned and quality was similar to that of previous sales with both well finished and plainer lambs penned. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market.

Numbers remained steady this sale with agents yarding 52,000 head. Lamb quality was reduced with a larger percentage showing dryness. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to easier market that fluctuated with quality.

Numbers eased this sale with agents yarding 51,850 total. Quality was similar to that of previous sales, with good numbers of finished lambs along with the larger percentage of plainer types. Usual buyers were present and competing in another strong market.
